This took forever to make but it was well worth it in the end. The piece is created in various elements (in this case 9 plus the neckband) and then stitched together. It is the central element from this that I have adapted into the wheel bracelet.
Thank you It took me three days to complete (I didn't count the hours!) and I have to say that stitching all the elements together was probably what took the most time and effort. I want to try another one at some point but even after a first attempt it's an intimidating project.
is there any way you can direct me to a site that has the pattern for that weave? id love to while away the hours of my days off working on something like that. And if not a website can you tell me the name of the weave?

I'll take a look for a website for you but the pattern I used came out of a back issue of Bead Work magazine. The pattern was actually called "Russian Wave Necklace". It takes forever to make but the feeling of satisfaction when you finish is worth it.
Apologies, it was Bead and Button not Beadwork. There is a link for buying the pattern here. There are instructions for creating the circular element here here but I can't find anything with the instructions for the S shaped elements, I seem to remember that changing direction is more difficult to get right than it looks.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
